Our company takes responsibility for protecting the environment by adopting sustainable practices in all aspects of our activities. Every action is guided by our commitment to contributing to a greener future for the next generations. We continuously invest in innovative technologies and eco-friendly solutions, reducing environmental impact and promoting a model of responsible development.

Sustainability is a core value of our company, integrated into every stage of our processes—from production and logistics to delivering products to store shelves. We are committed to maintaining a sustainable supply chain and adhering to the highest environmental protection standards.

In line with this commitment, the Băneasa Group is continuously implementing initiatives and projects aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and supporting the principles of sustainable development, aligning with European sustainability directives.

Renewable Energy – In 2023, we completed the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of the Mill and warehouses, with a total installed capacity of 512 kWh. This initiative significantly reduces our carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy sources.
Fleet Electrification – We aim for over 50% of our vehicle fleet to consist of electric and hybrid cars by the end of 2030, significantly reducing carbon emissions from transportation.
Responsible Water Management – We have modernized our water recycling systems to ensure a high level of wastewater purification before discharge.

Efficient Lighting – We replaced traditional lighting with LED bulbs, achieving up to 80% savings in electricity consumption. Additionally, we installed smart lighting systems tailored to each production area.
Consumption Automation – In restrooms, we installed sensor-activated electric hand dryers with automatic shut-off, improving energy efficiency.
Modernization of Industrial Equipment – Over 80% of the motors operating our milling equipment have been replaced with next-generation, low-consumption motors.
Dust Control Systems – We installed a dust extraction system for grain unloading into silos, and a dust absorption system for flour and bran loading into tankers. This complex investment allows the handling of 500 tons of wheat and the loading of over 200 tons of flour and bran per day, in compliance with environmental regulations.
Gas Consumption Reduction – We acquired two modern hot water production systems, replacing outdated installations and reducing gas consumption by 40%.
Water Conservation – All restrooms are equipped with infrared sensors and dual-flush systems, minimizing unnecessary water usage.
Packaging Recycling – We continuously invest in highly recyclable materials and modern packaging technologies to reduce plastic usage.
Afforestation and Green Spaces – We have planted 320 fruit trees and maintain generous green areas within the factory premises, acknowledging their role in absorbing carbon dioxide.
Waste Recycling – We’ve implemented a clear selective collection plan and collaborate with authorized economic operators for the proper recycling of generated waste, avoiding landfilling.
Logistics Optimization – Together with our partners, we are carrying out projects to reduce the number of transport trips, thereby lowering fuel consumption.
By-product Utilization – Secondary production by-products are either reused in other industries or turned into animal feed, helping to limit food waste.
Preventive Maintenance – We’ve developed a rigorous maintenance program to ensure the long-term efficient operation of equipment and to reduce unnecessary resource consumption.

BSCI Certification – Since 2022, we have been BSCI certified, ensuring compliance with responsible, fair, and safe working conditions for all employees.
Supporting the Local Economy – We prioritize local suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and services, working closely with farmers to improve crop quality and ensure market stability.
Education and Awareness – We engage in educational initiatives related to sustainability, nutrition, and food culture, bringing added value to the community.

Professional Development – We have implemented a dedicated training program for key employees, enhancing awareness and expertise in the field of sustainability.
Research and Innovation –We invest in improving product quality and meeting the needs of consumers with special dietary requirements.
Responsible Marketing – We promote transparent and educational communication, including sustainability campaigns, eco-friendly labels, and tips for a healthy lifestyle.
Social Solidarity – Each year, we donate over 10 tons of food products to non-profit organizations.
